Notebookforums had that announcement up for a while, but that's the first I've heard that it's officially an 6800 Go. I keep hoping that DDR2 is a typo, though :-/. That link and Notebookforums both say DDR2, sadly.

Linkie for comparison: http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=41605

DDR2 produce more heat but consumes much less energy than normal ddr.

I don't know about GDDR3.

My understanding is that GDDR2 requires around 2.5 volts, while GDDR3 only needs 1.8-2.0 volts. This should make it quite a bit cooler.
