Hi All,
Having been a Matrox user for a number of years, I recently installed two nVidia 980 XGLs (ebay). They appear to be working fine under Suse 9.0 and 9.1.
I had expected smoother windowing (2D), and editing .modprobe.conf by adding
options nvidia NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1 NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1 )
certainly helped. See thread

I run two 1600x1200 LCDs off of the cards. One computer drives the two through DVI, another computer drives them through DVI/VGA adapters. Buttons on the front of the two 2001FP allow toggling the pair between the two computers.
One of the first 980XGLs presented artifacts, caused X to race, and caused WinXP to crash. I sent it back and the replacement card seems fine.
I am wondering if there are any diagnostic tests that can be run on the 980 XGLs?
