If it's gonna be released next Tuesday, where are all the leaked specs?
I have seen enough pictures already. I want to know if it supports Dolby Encoder!
:screwy: :screwy: :screwy:
That part is still unkown yet.

The Inquirer is saying no dolby encoding due to the cost of the license. Of course it's rumour mill stuff so take it with a grain of salt.

I just read that article. Honestly I can't believe it. Nvidia got soo much crap for not putting soundstorm on nforce 3 150 and 250 motherboards. The backlash was huge and everybody has since then been stating "just wait for nforce4 and soundstorm2". I sure hope this article is wrong because I was waiting feverishly for nforce 4 sli with soundstorm. Anyhow I guess we will find out in a few days.

Seriously, without dolby encoder what's the big difference between nv3 and nv4?

More importantly, without dolby encoder, what's the big difference between nf4 and VIA!
FYI, Nvidia Nforce 4 comes in Socket 754 and 939 (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=19131)

For once I am in complete agreement with Fudo.
Nvidia we love you and your motherboards. Sooo many people are waiting for an a64 soundstorm motherboard. They really need to reconsider this, go back to the drawing board, and release at least one or two versions of nforce4 with soundstorm. Heck pass the 6-15 dollar fee to the customer, we won't care.
It like hearing a backlash saying "you made a mistake" and having the opportunity to fix it and just turning a blind eye. Come on nvidia, the people want a soundstorm motherboard.

pci-e & sata 2.....
that's 2 interface standards that are way beyond the bottle necks of the actual hardwares they connect.
they are not necessary for at least a year.
