Hi,

When I say Im a n00b I mean I downloaded it on Friday.....lol

Im running dual boot so I can use both Linux and WinXP.

Basicly, what im looking for is Red Hat 8.0 drivers. Ive read the post where people compile them but is there any download that you can just install? To be honest I dont understand alot of what was said as I dont know what everuthing means yet...lol

I dont even know how to open a Gnome Terminal Window....lol

If there isnt any files that you can download can sum1 pls send me some or explain in newbie language for me.....

Thanks

Dave

Managed to get the drivers installed the way that STEEL had said in the post (Thanks m8y) but I have one concern.......

When I go into disply properties I cannot tick the box that says "Enable Hardware 3D Hardware Acceleration"

does this matter? and if it does how do I make it so that it can....lol

It doesn't matter, 3d acceleration is enabled now. As a test you can run the Tux Racer game and if it plays smoothly then you know everything installed properly.

Thanks for thr reply!

Its all ok now :) I have Quake III Arena running at a solid 160 FPS and UT bouncing in the 50 - 80 margin :) Its a shame I cant get a g card tweaker like riva tuner for linux :)

There sort of is a RivaTuner for Linux, you can find it at http://nvclock.sourceforge.net/
