the nvidia drivers' problems

When I was installing "NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-i386.rpm",it replayed :
error:execution of %pre scriptlet from NVIDIA-GLX-1.0-2960 failed,exit status 255
error:install:%pre scriptlet failed(2),skipping NVIDIA-GLX-1.0-2960

What does this mean and what can I do for it?

Can you check to make sure your md5sum is correct? Type 'md5sum NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2960.i386.rpm' and compare the result to the one posted on http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_display_1.0-2960.
