Shadermark2.1 and crashing.

What do you guys use for testing your overclocks??

I have a GT which seems to overclock well and runs fine in ALL games but it constantly crashes in Shadermark2.1 when overclocked!

Is this because Shadermark is good stress test or is there some sort of bug?

Here is how I test:

> Run ShaderMark2.1
> Press 'P' for benchmark mode then don't touch it
> Go away and leave it for 10-15mins
> Come back to find computer has rebooted and back at desktop

I have witnessed the crash and the screen goes scrambled followed shortly by a reboot.

Does anyone else get this when overclocked??

edit: I am using 66.81 beta and temp is 70-71C at load and at time of crash, setting bios to 1.4V makes the crash happen far quicker.

I'm going to try it and see.

Sounds like u r pushing your card to hard.

Most games do not push your card to know
where near some of these benchmarks do.
I use many programs to test if one is stable.

I think I'm onto something, I just downloaded gainward xpertool after reading about it and set fan speed manually to 100%, it's cut about 5C off my temp and stopped the crashing.

Dynamic setting doesn't seem to alter fan speed at all, even when hot!

Is there a BIOS editor to set full fan speed? there's zero noise difference but temp is far lower.
