I just downloaded the free version of 3dmark05 last night and ran it for the first time. I got a score of 4,300 3dmarks. I have no idea how this score stacks up so I was hoping somebody could tell me if that's good or bad. I noticed that 3dmark05 seems to be a lot more stressful on the computer than 3dmark2001SE and 3dmark03. My system specs are as follows:

Athlon 64 3200+ @ 215 x 11
MSI Neo Platinum Motherboard
1 gig of OCZ EL PC3200 RAM
EVGA Geforce 6800 GT video card @ 417/1000 (not finished overclocking)

hmm at 440/1120 I get 5700 :D. And thats with a way slower CPU. A little more tweaking and you should at least break 5K

Use 66.81 drivers for higher 3dmark05 scores.

Maybe that's part of the problem. I'm using the 61.77 official drivers. Do the 66.81 drivers offer better performance in general or just in benchmarks?

66.81 increase 3dmakr 05 scores by up to 1000 marks, a bit faster in some games to , but a bit lacking in quality with some other games :p

So what's the best way to go then? I don't just sit around and do benchmarks all day so I really just want a set of drivers that's going to offer good quality and also be fast.
