What do ypu guys think about this power supply? Its a silent one. It comes in 520w or 600w. I will be running an AMD Athlon 64 3500+. Would I be ok with the 520w? I am looking for Silent! Also how can I tell if this has a connector for a pci express card?

Here is one review I found http://www.planetamd64.com/kb.php?mode=article&k=11

Comparing SilenX to PC Power and Cooling is not out of the question. But I would be concerned about the weight of that thing. Heavy is good, but not if there's a danger of the screws not being able to support it.

Overkill. Big time!

You want info on quiet power-supplies? This is *the* site.

Accept no substitutes. To most review sites "quiet" means they can't hear it over the seventeen screaming fans in their case. To SPCR, quiet means you can't hear it over your own heart-beat.

There's a thread in there about how much you can run on a 300W PSU. Point is, most people just go stupid-crazy with wattage numbers (the overclockers are responsible for this) and buy PSUs that are way over-powered for what they need. More W = more dB + more $$$'s. Don't be fooled by the manufacturers marketing!

I have a silenX 520 W ProSeries. It's great, and gives solid voltages. Really a quality power supply. Their fan also does run quiet. The downside is since the fan runs slow, the air outtake inside the case is not as good as your standard screamer power supply fan and temps increased inside my case

But overall, they made a fan out of me.
