3dmark doesn't matter at all.

Does it fix the shimmering?

My Kingdom for a set of drivers that fixes the BSOD when exiting UT2004 with DEP enabled on an A64 system.

They will probably be leaked soon.

Not really. EP had two different versions that weren't leaked before.

Anyway, I would like to know what he means by the datestamp.
"the datestamp on nvoglnt (the file is protected and another reason why the files will not be leaked)"

I think it just means the date that the file was created or modified. Not sure though. Maybe date imbedded in the file telling when it was finished.

Never really noticed any shimmering so difficult to tell if it is fixed. Was too tired to do any real game testing, basically lost interest in 3DMark -- the 66.81 scores weren't the best I have seen but in the real world they just felt right.

Big on Counter-strike: Source at the moment so the bug I mentioned will prob drive me back to 66.81 anyway.

From what I have been told, the file has a digital signature and is embedded with a way of tracing who downloaded the file - could be bs, but I dunno.

Either way they are not ready... :)

Won't be re-enabled DEP on my system and attempting to crash Unreal Tournament 2004, I don't think this is an NVIDIA issue I think it is down to Epic, as DEP protects system memory and prevents other applications from going there... so it is down to Epic to stop being damn sloppy I guess.

As with the 66.81 drivers, I couldn't complete a bench at the same clock speeds I had done all previous tests... 561/1.17 so I just didn't bother, could have done a stock test but the performance of the previous and prior releases was so poor I doubt it was worth my time.

All developer drivers have a digital sig - yes they can be traced directly to the original download source - I know this as I have previously leaked beta drivers (6177) RC and promptly got caught and kicked off NVD.

I have since got back onto NVD but the leak was never worth the hassle!!!!!!

dont leak it or they WILL find you and then thats the last time they will ever offer you something so useful!!!!

What glitch are we looking at in that screenshot..personally the entire 66.xx series have been a complete crap for my GT. CS Source has annoying lines, and 4xaa gives me really crap fps..even in War3..65.73 in war3 its like 60fps all the time.

With CS?
When you get into the game (I play at 1280x960 (or was it x1024..?)) and when I first get into a game it looks like it has loaded a 1024x768 window in the centre and the edges are all black - never-the-less as soon as I get into the game it sorts itself out and seems just as good as 66.81 - sadly I was too tired to give it a vigorous online test :)

I don't have access either, so won't jeopardise it for someone else by releasing them :)

I disagree with you on this one. DEP functions perfectly fine with all non-Nvidia cards and it also works perfectly fine with the 61.xx series of drivers. Nvidia changed something with the 65.xx series that is causing this to happen.

Electronic Punk, when you released the 66.51's (we're still thankful for you doing that), did you have to deal with any digital signatures?

If i understood correctly from a post from Hilbert @ Guru3D, all Nvidia drivers given to devs, have an electronic tag/signature.
What i don't understand, is all this leaks.I mean, do Nvidia say, "you can leak this driver now", and it pops up everywhere?

Actually most leaks, with a few seldom exceptions, are in fact drivers that appeared at some OEM or manufacturers ftp server. Sites like Station Drivers, Guru3D, Warp2Search, ********* etc etc just sale them as "leaks" because a) this is providing more visitors (read: exclusive download) and b) protects their knowledge on where to look for new releases.

And well there are some real leaks, like 66.00 for instance.
