I was poking around my motherboard manufacturer's web site (Abit) and the company claims my present board (KR7A-RAID) will support future Thoroughbred processors based on the 133 MHz bus.

Can I assume that means the XP2400+ would work in my board provided I have the latest BIOS (which I have)?

I kinda thought about that. What voltage does the Thoroughbred run at?

My kt266a has XP2600 support (listed on gigabyte's website and bios update info page)... I'm thinking most kt266a's have "last-gen" 133/266 XP support with proper bios config.

Methinks XP2400 & 2600 are the ceilings of this platform... unless AMD has stated that they want to continue making 133/266 chips after the 2600 (I'd like that)...

I've got a 2200+ running on my mobo ( A7v266e ) and all is fine. With bios update, I can run up 2600+ providing it is the 266 versh.
