View Full Version : Stocks and Stuff (Part2)
I about this | | close to buying around 200 nVidia shares. Hopefully around 10$ to 12$ USD a share.
I kinda set friday as my deadline since the NV30 should be revealed on monay and the nForce2 is weeks away from shipping.
I just want some opinions from you guys if you think its a good idea, or should i wait longer. I got myself an online trading account with US money in it, so im literally 1 click away.
Help! Iv'e got money burning a whole in my pocket here!!!
Well... don't blow all your money on stocks. Maybe just half of it? :)
I have been thinking about doing the same myself... they are bound to go up after the NV30 is announced.
Who is your online trading account with? Ameritrade?
Well its not all my money (although i have thought about it hehe)
I live in Canada so im with RBC (RoyalBank of Canada). I setup an online banking and then Online Trading Account (called a Action Direct Account).

I wouldn't put that money into the market, unless you don't need it back anytime soon. Nvidia shares have been on a rollercoaster ride lately and a short term trade could backfire.
But if you're feeling lucky, now's the time :D
"sigh" If predicting the stock market wasen't hard enough, having a war brewing just makes things even crazier. I heard on the radio this morning that Iraq has decided to tell the UN to "Something Off" I still think im going to do it, but probably only get around 50 shares instead.
I'd be heavily surprised if nVidia would go up more than 10% due to a product being announced.
I'd remind you that investors care about financial results. And nVidia publicly said to them the NV30 is highend and thus won't be a huge revenue bringer.
So, why would they react to that? ...

Very ture, but its more the nForce2 thats got me going, and now i saw on nvnews.net that AMD is planning a pretty nice price cut which should draw more people. Hopefully nForce2 will be the board of choice...
Plus, depending on how much the stock increases (if at all) i might wait until spring to sell, giving NV30 sales some time to impact.

Problem: Investors would get all panicked if nVidia refused to give NV30 yields.
"Icky! Maybe they got 0.01% yields! They're going to lose BILLIONS! Sell! SELL!"
I'm exagerating, of course, but investors got that special gift of being able to find negative news in everything :)
