Probably a stupid question but i was just wondering what the GT in 6800GT stands for...

any ideas?

GT=Gran turismo... italian designation usually associated with high performance car/motorcycles (both stock and racing). I believe it was first used by Alfa Romeo in the '30s.

Like said it stands for Grand Tourismo which is synonymous for high performance and speed. It's just a marketing gimmick from nvidia, just like "XT" and "Pro" is from ATI.

But yea its probably Grand Torismo or w/e like the game.
