Now that I have trillian I don't need all these stupid IM programs. I've removed most except stupid messenger. I went into add/remove progs. and removed explorer and messenger from windows components, but damn thing still comes up when I restart computer even after disabling the service and startup item. Whenever I open outlook express damn thing still pops up. How do I nuke this peice of crap? Its getting really annoying and I am gonna kick this computer off the desk if I don't find out how to kill it.

start, run, RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

manually remove all file/folder references.

if that doesn't work, you can go into your oe options, and turn off messenger startup.

To remove MSN Messenger you need to place your PC in the center of a chalk pentagram and perform an Ishtar cleansing ritual on it. You can get instructions on the ritual from a copy of the Necronomicon at your local library. Be sure to first cast a demon seal of at least the 5th power around the PC first, since MSN Messenger will try to protect itself against the cleansing by opening a demon gate to the Microsoft plane. Make sure you use pure goats blood and lots of salt.
