I'm building a computer for my daughter using a Gigabyte socket 754 board with a Sempron 3100. The board states it has an AGP 3.0 slot and I have an older Evga MX440 se that is AGP 2.0 compliant. Will this card work in the newer motherboard or do I have to run out and get a new video card?

Yup, it will work

Thanks :)

I realize a Sempron 3100 and an MX 440 SE is a mismatch but she won't be doing any gaming or anything, mostly just school work and "IMing" all her friends :)

I plan to purchase a socket 754 based Sempron sometime during the next year. This processor really looks like it has the best bang for the buck ratio today.
