Just built new system today with an Evga 6800GT. I installed the 65.73 drivers on a friends advice.

I wanted to make sure I get the most out of the card. Should I be using more uptodate drivers..and if so which one please.

Thanks!!
Dave

I think you should install the drivers that work best for you. I personally am using the 61.77 because I find it offers the most compatibility for games across the board.

BTW you should have posted this in the forceware driver section of the forums. :)

It's pretty much up to you. I'm running the 66.81 drivers. Just try a bunch of different ones and determine which one's work better on your rig. I think everyone has different results.

Learned I should have posted in driver forums but I have a follow up question :)

Can I just install diff drivers overtop of the old?

So install 65.73 ..then just run the install for 66.81?

Im running XPpro.

Thanks

D.

You can. For me, I've never actually had any problems doing that sort of thing. Nevertheless, it's not terribly recommended by many here. Most would suggest uninstalling, and THEN installing the new drvs.
