What do you think it ? :jumping:

I think the 256 MB variety at 400/1000 in SLI could be very interesting. Wonder what the official price will be....

EDIT: Hrm they are rumored to be "only" 12 pipe. Still in SLI, if the price is nice they should work well.

How do you think the pricing of this one will be relative to the 6600GT? Also, any clues on whether the Video Processor is working on this one?

Think there will be a 6600 with 256MB ram but it will be DDR1.

Thats what my buddy is waiting for, an AGP 6600GT with 256mb ddr

hes hoping it will come out b4 xmas :P

Isn't the NV41 a 3 quad GPU with 256 bit memory interface...like a 6800 only not a full blown NV40 due to hardware / laser cuts of a quad processirs?

IF that is right it would kill the 6600 GT escpeially in High res with AA

edit: I have to concede to a forum member who suggested the nv41 would be 3 quad gpu (6800 like) before...you got it right bud and well against nv norms...it seems this NV41 is an exception to NV general patterned naming scheme

Maybe theyll have one of these 6700s in AGP by xmas :P

Hmm, I think that these memory can not be clocked at 1000mhz...Why??Because they are 2,8 ns..If they will be 2,8 ns i think they are clocked about 800mhz.....

Im pretty sure all the info so far on NV41 has come from the inquirer and they are usually off by a bit on intelligence.

It will probably be like a 6600 with more memory and higher clocks and more pipes. The ultra will probably end up bieng a better bang for ur buck than the 6800nu.

owell find out in November :P

i read somewhere 6700(nv41) is a replacement for (nv40)6800
is it.?
n i read it is PCIE only?
true?
if yes, wat are the specs of this card, how many pipes n vertex pro's ?
n stufff..?

ya thats what im readin too, that its going to be a cheaper manufactured 6800 and theyre cancelling the 6800 line. theres alot of rumors going around and were going to have to wait till its released.

Im not sure about it only bieng pci-e forever

So: what is left for us, AGP users, in the mainstream segment ?

theyre cancelling the 6800 line??????? :(

The 6800NU will be replaced with this chip/board, Yes.

The 6800 GT and Ultra will remain. I could be wrong, but I think that's what the guy was worried about.

ok but i don't think we will see just a 6700, nvidia has always sold 2 or 3 cards with the same chip so i think there will be a 6700 GT or ULtra too.

but tis 6700 will have a 128 or 256 bit bus?

fillrate of 6600 GT = 4000
6700 is supposed to be 12*400 = 4800?
6800 GT = 5600

so i don't see where a GT or Ultra version of 6700 could be placed between 4800 and 5600 bho... a 500 Mhz clocked 6700 will have a fillrate of 6000 ...

How many vertex pipelines will have the NV41?

NV41 is supposed to have identical specs to the NV40 except with 12 pipes rather than 16. And possible 5 vps rather than 6, but I'm unsure of that. The basic reason for it is that the NV40 costs a LOT to produce in volume. They may make a higher clocked version of the NV41, but it's more likely they'll also replace the current NV40 LEs with a 6700 LE, primarily for OEMs, and possibly as a sale item. I guess if you raised the clock on the 6800 LE you might be able to get it to fall somewhere between the 6600 GT and 6700...

Anyhow, it's all speculation so far, being that the specs haven't been officially announced by nVIDIA, so these things could change at any time.

this means that my vcard is going to be a collectors item... hehehe

I was thinkin the same thing

but i dont think 6800nu/gt/u/ will b replaced by somthin slower.

Nv wouldnt want ATi's buisness to boost..

so 6700 may b faster than we think.. or 6700 may be like an intermidate model of 6600 and 6800, n the actual 6800 will b replaced by 6900.. with some 6900's havin 512mb ram.. as many expected wen nv40 released.

6700, 130 nano or 110 nano? which one??

The die + package in the picture looks a lot like NV40 (and nothing like NV43), so I'm guessing it's 130nm manufactured by IBM.

No, look at the 4th picture, S. TAIWAN is marked on the core, the chip is manufactured by TSMC's 0.11 micron, not IBM's 0.13 micron, IBM manufacture plant is based in New York, USA.

Ya im pretty sure the only 6800 that will be replaced is that NU, but thats not too bad if its replaced by something with higher clocks and more RAM.

A 6800 card with 128mb RAM when my buddies 5700 has 256 isnt very good.

maybe the 6700 ultra will replace the 6800nu or le
