Are all new 939 pin motherboards dual channel memory now?
How about the CPU's?

I'm out of the amd loop. :)

I'm going to build a new 64 system and
I do want the most memory bandwidth I can get.

The FX was the only dual channel chip amd had correct?
How about now?

Info please. :)

EDIT: I'm going with a 3000+ or 3200+ 939.
It's a dual channel chip correct?
OK... I'm confused on the 939 3x00+.... One is 13nm and one is 9nm.
What is the best one to buy for overclocking? The 9?
I want the most bang for my buck. "lol" :D
Will the 3000 clock as high as the 3200?

Yes, all S939 CPU's and motherboards are Dual Channel, including that 3200+. I believe that the S939 chip is the better overclocker. Seeing as it's on a smaller process at the same stepping, this would make sense.

Happy OCing.

Thanx for the info man. :)

I want the best bang for my buck.
Heck the 3000+ 9nm is only 179 bucks.
If it will do 2.4+ it will be the overclocking chip
of the year. Kinda like the old 2.4 P4 use to be. :)

If my current memory will be ok for a A64 I can
move right over for under 300 bucks and get
a LOT more performance than I'm getting now
with my prescott.
So if I sell my mobo and cpu I have now for say 175 bucks
I'll only be 125 out of pocket. Not to bad. :D

Just noticed this.... the abit AX8 says it has dual 64bit memory
controllers. Do all new 939's have a 128bit controller?

http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/techspec.php?categories=1&model=215

I noticed a post over at overclockers.com that someone brought it up
in the post that it had dual 64's.

I love this board but do not want PCIe. "Yet" ;)

--------------------------------------------

Dual DDR 400
Dual DDR combines the power of DDR400 with two 64-bit independent memory controllers, the 128-bit memory controller integrated on chip provides up to 6.4 GB/sec bandwidth for system memory, and gives you highest performance and cost-effective platform.

Yes, all 939s are 128bit. Twin 64bit controllers.
