View Full Version : How are the following GT cards? Quality wise?

BFG GEFORCE 6800 GT

CHAINTECH APOGEE GEFORCE 6800 GT

LEADTEK A400 GT TDH GEFORCE 6800 GT

I might need to grab a new GT and was wondering how the above ones rate, quality wise. Score wise they are probably virtually identicle (except for the BFG).

Thanks.

Get the Leadtek. Better cooler, good warranty and one of best bundles out there.

Just be careful with the Leadtek. There is a thread about some lite cards floating around that are only clocked at 350/900.

Yep... all the leadteks out right now are Lites.
I have not seen any real GT's or ultra's in stock.

I would stay away from Leadtek right now.

I would go with BFG. They are kick ass cards
and factory overclocked.
See my sig for my 3DM03 scores. They Rock! :nanahump:

Agreed. Just don't volt mod your card and void that lifetime warranty.

:) No OC or Volt moding for me. Iím happy right with the default 370/1000. ;)

That's good to hear. :)
It's not worth burning up your card for maybe 5 more fps.

I run mine at ultra speeds but I'm not
worried about it burning up.
If it does I'll buy an ultra.

Leadtek rocks just make sure it's not a lite like the one I got, which they will replace in two weeks

Have to vote BFG here. In case you do have a problem, their toll-free 24/7 support kicks every other company in the nuts. And their call center is based here in Chicago so you don't need to worry about being calling a center in Bangladesh or someplace like that.

you should consider gigabytes new card. has an active heatpipe cooler that is very effective & quiet. my gt runs at 400/1100 & never goes over 60c under stress. it will oc higher & is a single slot solution.
though if like me you have a large non-stock nb cooler it can present some problems as the the card is as thick on top as it is on the bottom. great card!
with the problems leadtek is having with inventory & quality i would not go anywhere near them.
