Sorry if I ask, but are you sure that this card has a "video in" feature rather than a standard tv-output ? It seems strange for a PCI-card

No, the card does not have VIVO (Video In Video Out) ... I don't think there's any PCI cards with that feature save for the few ATI All-In-Wonder PCI cards...

what is better than... the visiontek 9100 PCI 128MB or the Geforce 5700 PCI 128MB?

Well, are you talking about just PCI GPUs? Because Hauppauge and MANY others make PVR cards...

that didn't answer my question though. Just PCI GPUs or do you have an AGP video card and were looking for a second video card for TV-in? Because as I said, Haupppauge makes really good cards and perhaps their best card, the WinTV PVR-250, is only $80 after $50MIR this week at Circuit City

okay, now I gotcha.

Get an All-in-Wonder then since just a PVR won't do anything for you other than record TV shows...you won't have a monitor to watch them on. ;)

Yup.

The 9600 AiW is a Radeon 9600 video card along with ViVo (Video In Video Out) so you can record TV shows onto your personal machine.

I think there's a 9700 AiW and possible a 9800 AiW, however, I don't know if they make PCI ones or not.

Far Cry need also quite a powerful system. Is your PC really up to it ?

The only mobos without AGP I've seen in the past 5 years were from the server market.
