1st question when does the AGP version of the 6600 come out?

2nd what is faster a 9800 pro 256 bit 128 meg card OR 6600 pci-e 128 bit , 128 meg card?

3rd.. what is the cheapest 6800? and are any in agp format.

1st i don't know, i think before Christmas anyway ..

2nd 9800Pro is better but cost more, in the same price of 9800 there is the 6600GT that is better than 9800Pro

3rd the cheapest 6800 is the Non Ultra version and is around 299, but i think you should buy the 6600GT for 199 that perform the same and is slowly just at hight resolution with filter activated

Is the 9800pro really better in todays games like Doom3 and HL2, meaning games that use shaders and bumpmaps aplenty? If yes, then ATI sure know how to make hardware!

In DOOM3, nvidia is king. ATI's opengl is slow compard to nvidia. Most definitely an nvida will run DOOM3 better then ATI. ATI has been trying to improve their opengl support, but they have a long way to go to catch nvidia. In D3D, ATI has a slight lead depending on the game itself. HL2 is not out yet, so real comparisons can only be done in source code and is not indicative of final retail HL2. Both ATI and nvida seem to perform well in HL2 source coding with ATI having somewhat of a lead.
6600GT is better then 9800 pro plus you get SM3.0 with nvidia's line of new cards.
6700 is right around the corner and will replace the 6800 non ultra.
