Do harbor a secret feeling that you are in fact a fanboi of either nVidia or ATI? I think I have come up with a simple test for you to take. Answer the following question:
How will NV30 compare to R300:
A) I know that NV30 will mop the floor with R300. It will have more features and have far greater performance.
B) I know almost every thing that is in NV30 is already in R300. NV30 can't possibly be much better than R300.
C) November 18 is coming fast. It will be interesting to see what nVidia has up their sleeve.

How did you do? Let's look at the answers:
If you answered A, pat yourself on the back you nVidiot. Based on a bunch of heresay and rumor, you have crowned a winner. Your faith that nVidia can deliver probably approaches the same faith people had in 3Dfx.
If you answered B, give yourself a round of applause you fanATIc. Based on some tech docs that just explain what commands the NV30 can execute, you have successfully determined that NV30 will contain nothing new and can not possibly contain something radical. Your faith that nVidia can not possibly have new tech shows your ignorance that companies can make leaps. Don't wait for R350, since NV30 can't be better than R300, R350 must not be better either.
If you answered C, there is still hope. You properly question "internet sources" and have an understanding that the rate at which companies innovate is large. But you also have guarded optimism and understand that sometimes, companies don't execute.
Whatever your answer, you the consumer vote with your money. Or at least Joe-Smoe consumer does when he purchases an Intel 815 motherboard with integrated graphics and cann't run any games because he has no idea who either nVidia or ATI are.
(P.S. I have seen a very large percetage of posts that are esentially point A or B. I am now offically sick of both attitudes.)
