Just love graphics on this game , and models are very nicely done , as good as Lineage 2 :drooling: , game itself however is not like other Online RPGs , exploration is small , not many items , simple quests , main objective is Team Player vs other players :p , from different countrys mind you , no monthly charge ( no matter how many times we tried Asians always kicked our butts :( ), net code was moust impressive no lags for me atleas very smooth in battles. Oh and game download is uber fast , downloaded small exe and in a minute im already playing wow :drooling:

I had a blast playing the preview. The party missions were so entertaining that I lost track of time and ended up losing a lot of sleep over the weekend :)

The GeForce 6800 Ultra delivered smooth performance at 1920x1440 with 4X AA and 4X AF. The graphics are top notch and the post processing effects add a nice touch. Unfortunately, I had to disable them since they were causing a texture shimmering effect during motion (with and without AA enabled).

Image File Naming Convention

The image file naming convention consists of:


gw - Guild Wars

resolution - 1024x768 or 1920x1440

image quality - corresponds to the in-game image quality slider - (1=lowest, 2, 3, 4=highest)

pp - post processing effects - (0=off, 1=on) - turned on by default at image quality level 3

aa - antialiasing - (0=none, 2x, 3x, 4x)

af - anisotropic filtering - (4x)

Played it a bit this morning. I can't say I'm overly impressed with it. The control scheme is weird and the targeting system works maybe 50% of the time. I do have to give it kudos for the graphics and near complete lack of lag on the servers. But as of right now, I'm not entirely convinced of spending $50 on this when it comes out.

ermmm hit tab to cycle enemies, then space to attack. There are hotkeys to select closest enemy and whatnot. This is just a small taste of what the retail version will be, remember that. Out of all the games coming out until Q1'05 this is the one Im looking foward to the most. Also if any of you plan on preordering I suggest you hurry, the weekend, monthly betas begin Saturday Nov 6 :D

Whats sleep....since GW started i think i slept for about 5 hours in total..lots of coffee ^_^.

So far i played with all classes and i must say the NECRO is the most fun/best class to play with. My fav spell is Death LICK!!!! haha read it up what it does..but i think u get the picture ^_^.

Life sphyon i think thats how you spell it, is very good in a mob. Defeantly the best char to have fun with is Necro hands down.

PS:Australians cant pre order...pretty darn GAY, if anyone wants to invite a freind....ill be your best e-freind ^_^

Yeh it was fun while it lasted, I actually managed to get to lvl 20 by playing from friday night to saturday afternoon :P. It really reminds me of Diablo 2 though.
