As Anand clearly pointed out, it's not really a matter of 2x6600GT vs 1 6800GT now, it's a matter of upgrades.

The idea is that you buy a 6600GT now, wait 6 months, and then buy another one, getting a 70% increase...

Odly enought... history has proven that SLi will fail :( As with Dual GPU's, that ATi seems to be working on... its expensive, uses alot of space, power consuming and makes more noise. Seems like a better choise to wait one year and get a new card :)
