Hello,
I was just seeing that on older games and a 6800 image quality looks pretty bad.

on my old Geforce 4200TI i remember the games looking very nice like on
Need for speed porsche unleashed.

on the 6800 they look really bad I will post a few screen shots.
looks like doom 1 :)
(i use png on all my screenshots so you dont get jpeg artifacts)

I also noticed it in quite a few other games, I just don't remember them looking so bad.


now I know this might not be the 6800's fault could be driver / directx related (like how directx 9 handles 8.0 and 7.0 games)

i will test later these same games on a ATI 9200 with winxp sp2 / dx.9.0 and see if i get same results

Thats 100% normal, your making the game look better then it was intented to so now you can the flaws and little shortcuts the developer took during the development process.

then nv50 will have bad Far Cry IQ ?

looks perfectly normal, IMO, i don't see what is the prob. Theyre set up for different Cards, and seeing the shortcuts now with faster AA/AF.

Thats 100% normal, your making the game look better then it was intented to so now you can the flaws and little shortcuts the developer took during the development process.
