View Full Version : Everybody hates the U.S.?
I used to get really upset of all the U.S. bashing and fire back in threads my opinion. Now I really don't care who says what or doesn't like us. Any thoughts on this.
This isn't a thread defending the U.S. nore is it an invitation to start a flame war or a Europe vs. America. No matter what we are allies and share a similar culture. :)

Notice I the worde "similar" there or are you speaking to the allies part, because on paper we are allies. The last few wars and conflicts also back this up. Also, yes I have played SOF2 and UT2K3 alot and I get along with all the mature players. ;)

Nah, of course not we don't hate the US...
But there are some which could use a little humility, that is all... :) (and this is pretty much true in each single country, mine included. A certain fringe within our own political class, especially, should learn to look in their own backyard before bragging about what is acceptable or not in other countries. French socialists. <sigh>).

P.S. I love the Rangers also. I live 8 miles from Ft. Lewis and have many friends in the Rangers but I love the SEALs.

Ah don't worry about it, I have nothing against the seals, just pissed that they would just pack up and go back to Pakistan in the middle of a firefight to save one of their own. Nobody is supposed to quit like that. Seals, Rangers, and the rest of the SF community are a brotherhood, no matter what, they are among the greatest men in the world. I come from a military background also, Army, Navy, Marines. Not AF tho, heh, but I don't hate any one branch and I am friends with a number of Special forces personnel.:D ;)
LOL! I wasn't pissed I just grumbled about it for a while then whent an played BF1942. I think that they just didn't leave they might have been ordered to another mission or regroup from the beating they took. Also it was the SEALs that took the airport before any U.S. troops landed in afghanistan. I love the Marines but they keep saying they are the first in and the last to leave when it is the SEALs who sneak in and secure things.
I'm just ranting about nothing at this point.:o

Who knows, I did have a picture from a friend that was there 1st night of the takeover of the airport. Kandahar correct? Yeah, I think that was it, I don't think I saw seals there, but it was Air Force Ops there that first night too, Rangers arrived at Kandahar 2 weeks after, but they were in other areas already.:D ;)
What I was referring that the SEALs were at the airport first as a recon team. They trecked across the desert by night and waited for the landing party then were extracted but you are right it was More than 100 Army Rangers (and likely some USAF CCTs) parachuted from MC-130s to temporarily seize a remote airfield about 60 miles southwest of the Taliban stronghold of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan. The information I read was a CNN article which was reported about one month after the invasion. Any way our SF's have done a great job in that hell hole and don't forget the SAS.

Yup. Oh yeah, never forget the SAS! Otherwise Vamp will be all over our American asses!:p :D
I dont really saying this countries better than etc etc, Ive lived in 3 countrys so far and I like then all. Anyways hate is a strong word, when we say we hate the US, most of the time its just a wind up for fun, cos you guys bite so easily :p

Everyone realizes the US can and has done the rightly and goodly things, but they also understand we fumble around before we actually go and get it done.
I think that, in the back of everyone's mind, they know that when the crap hits the fan, the American's can depend on the Brits, the Brits can depend on the US, and we both have to go in and save the French
