Ok sorry in advance if im not up2 scratch on the Gfx card side of things...As the last card i brought was a GF3 Ti 200 64MB (Still going strong may i add) ive recently come into abit of cash (200) I was wondering if its worth saving more up to buy a 6800gt or buy whatever i can for this price. My mate brought a 9800XT 256MB for 200includin P&P i was thinking of buying it too...but im not sure if i want to move to Raedon as there driver support is quite poo compared to good ol' Nvidia.

So what u guys think i can buy for that price?! Or recommend me.

Thanks a bunch :)

P.S. Id like to buy a 256MB card if possible.
P.P.S. Im a serious gamer so i want the crispest gfx i can. Atm im limited to Battlefield Vietnam which is about the tops my card is gonna go.

If you can buy a 6800GT....Save a little longer and
look for sales.

If not grab a Regular 6800 and softmod
it to a GT.
Even a regular 6800 beat the pants
off of ANY past card.

For the money the 6800 and 6800GT
cannot be beat. :)

This is the cheapest 6800GT i can find in the UK....

Out of Stock at Moment, but i keep checking every day...

BFG also have lifetime warranty and overl**** as standard.

From reading other posts, it may be a bit noisy, so will probably need an NV5 cooler as a replacement. That is what i intend to do.

Good luck hunting....

Some of the more popular and reputable online UK retailers are Overclockers UK, Scan, Micro Direct and Dabs.

I really don't think a GF3 can survive until next summer... a 5700NU would IMO be the bare minimum as a "get by until next summer" card... and even that's a stretch... ;)

6600 Is ok, but if you can get a 6800gt, go for it. Its the best card to come by for the price in a while, 16 pipelines of pure sex streaming across your monitor ;)
