View Full Version : Galaxy 6800 clocked at 325/700

I read in several reviews, Galaxy 6800 should be clocked at 350/700.

My new card (1 week old) is clocked at 325/700.

No big deal, I could overclock it to 390/800 without problem, just wanted to let you know.

Is there a way to know, wether it has 2,2ns HYNIX Ram without removing the heat sink? (via software maybe?) I could not get RAM much higher than 800 and am wondering if the info from those reviews about the 2.2ns RAM on this board is wrong, too?

Maybe the reviewers got special tuned cards?

But I'm not angry, 390/800 is ok for me.

When I installed my EVGA 6800NU, it couldn't hit any higher than 350/775 with the drivers on the CD they gave me. With the newest ones, the 66.81s, I can do 400/850. Try getting newer drivers.

Thanks for you info,

but I'm already using 66.81... I'm quite satisfied with 390/800, I just wanted to let you all know, the default clock has changed for that card...

Maybe you need to use Galaxy's drivers/software to get the default overclock. What did it say on the box?

If you find some software to analyse video ram chips please share.

the default clok's havnt changed for the card. the card was never out-of-the-box overcloked. read the reviews again, it says the card can overclok well, n they provide a overclokin-software, wich helps overclokin to 250/750 without any probs.
