Transfering music..

I have 2 comps connected to a router, although their not connected to each other in a network because when i go start>run>cmd>new view, nothing comes up.

I need to transfer all my music from my old computer (Windows 2000) to my new computer (Windows XP home)..

Can some one help me? :retard:

I dont have a cd burner on the old computer so... :wong:

Do you know the IP of your old PC? If so, the first thing to do is type "ping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" in the cmd window. If you can find it there, then just open up an explorer window and type "\\(Computername)" in the address bar.

Assuming your MP3 folder is shared you should be able to go straight to the folder, and grab everything you want now.
