In case you guys are wondering WTF he is talking about... I believe it is this game:
http://www.crc-game.com/

It has ATI's "Get in the Game" Logo

The demo was just released today. It supposly has a very nice damage model, similar to FlatOut

Meanwhile.......

For anyone who is intrested in trying the demo on High Speed Servers here is a fileshack Mirror

http://www.fileshack.com/file.x?fid=5796

The Demo Weighs in at 90MB

First Impressions ----------------------------

Interface:
The interface is a fully skinned 'futureristic' looking type, that dose not scale well at high resoltuions. However is easily navigated

Graphics:
The graphics were uimpressive to say the least. The track is closed single route, It is not possilbe to slide out of bounds, every part is protectec by Invisible walls. There is very little objects that you can interact with, everything other than the occasional checkpoint sign is non moveable. The trees are the old style, textures in a X pattern. However HDR is implemented in the game, glare is shined off the Dirt and your car.

Gameplay:
As I prefer FPS Shoot 'em up games, i have to say the gameplay is very dull. There can be alot of customization to your cars, however i did not see them all, hardcore racers will be pleased with that however. The tracks are unintresting. However the game tries to put alot of realisim in the damage your car will take. For example if you run head on into a wall, most likely your car will only beable to limp at 3 - 5 mph, untill you seletet the "Repair Car" button in the menu.

BottomLine:
If you try to navigate windows with your Steering Wheel, this game is for you. However if you are just a casual Raceing gamer, this is to 'realistic' for my taste.

So where does this say it doesn't support NVidia cards? Thought so.

I have the demo of this game. First of all, I don't understand, you can't enable HDR if you have a nVIDIA card or something? Second of all, I haven't played the demo *yet*, but I am not impressed by the graphics. I am looking forward to the gameplay mechanics and how the car handles for this game. Thirdly, again, I am really not impressed by the graphics??? :retard:

You are correct, you cannot turn it on with Nvidia cards.

The question is why its supposed to be a shame on nVIDIA ??

FarCry is already using nVIDIA's FP16 for HDR . so its being used !

no one tried the demo ?

well my impressions so far are the game looks graphiclly good .. although many of the cool features like HDR , Noise , Motion Blur & FSAA post processing effects dosent work for nVIDIA cards which is kinda :lame:

the keyboard contorling sensitivity is horrible ! but the overall gameplay is good .

oh & the demo installs StarForce .. so be thou warned!

Ok, I can't choose some of the options in the menu. My impressions:
- very bad choice from the developers, they've lost my respect...
- somebody will probably hack the game so that we can choose it, it's not like the nVIDIA cards don't "support" it
- the game has good control, realism and handling
- graphics on the other hand are rather outdated, or should I say, not as good as Xpand Rally's or FlatOut's
- graphics in the screens posted by the guy apparently with all the options turned on DO NOT impress me in any way and I do NOT see a clear difference between that and the way I was playing the game

My overall opinion is that frankly I don't give a **** if I can't turn on the options or not. This game is clearly intended for more sim-lovers (which I am), and with the options enabled, the game doesn't look any different than on my 6800 GT. Lastly, like I said, this doesn't really point out anything to me, unline FarCry with OpenEXR HDR, which even though I don't use because it doesn't let me use AA, this doesn't point out to me that the ATI owners are getting something "drastically" better or "different" leading to a better game experience. :wong:
