Ok heres the thing . i want to install an extra 1GB DDR400 (512x2 Infinion - defualt timings 3-4-4-8) RAM on my PC which already has 1GB DDR400(512x2 Kingston - defualt timings 3-8-3-3) RAM but with differnet timings as you can see .
will the differnece between the timings with each type of RAM affect my performance or cause any conflicts ??

& since both RAMs are values i'm not considiring changing thier timings to match each other btw.

The timings will default to the lesser quality rams timings regardless of weather one is better quality.

Yep all rams will run at 3-4-4-8 , unleas you can OC from bios and see if slower ram will run stable at lower settings.

1st no. = CAS Latency
2nd no. = RAS Precharge
3rd no. = RAS to CAS Delay
4th no. = precharge delay .

yo gotta google for more info on these terms though or might search the other threads .

Timings.. the lower the number, the faster the memory
