So says the inq, one of them to be a PC hybrid. Way back this is what the XBox was suppose to be if I remember right. It really got me stoacked when I thought I would finally be able to play all those pc games that my ****ty Pentium 2 couldn't but it wasnt to be. Will be interesting if true. It has already been confirmed in way that PC and XBox users will be able to play against each other with the next XBox.

The standard Xbox Next will not include a hard drive, which will allow Microsoft to cut costs on this basic unit. Xbox Next HD, as you might imagine, does include a hard drive and will offer increased functionality based on this. Xbox Next PC is, according to the presentation, an entry-level PC that runs Windows and all standard PC software. It also includes CD Burner, Wireless keyboard, mouse and controller and will work best connected to a high-definition TV or PC monitor. Media Center functionality - like movies, music and photos - is also included. The device will also play most available PC games.

Why would any of us get the Xbox next PC version when we probably have a much faster PC already.

As long as they have a Hard drive version, I would get it. Then it will be Moding time all over again :D

The CPU isnt a x86 CPU from what rumours Ive heard..
seems like something similar to the G5, with 3 cores at 3.5Ghz..
some other rumour said 3 CPUs with dual Cores.. dunno..
But it seems to be a IBM fabrication similar to the Mac G5 CPU.

Wouldn't having 3 3.5 Ghz CPUs be rediculously expensive? And G5's don't have 3 cores at 3.5 Ghz. Then again, these are just rumours your heard.

An Xbox with three 3.5 G5 CPU's would be worth more than my life :p
