I have the latest Audigy drivers, so when I try to set sound driver to EAX, EAX2 or EAX3, I get like a slide show. WHen I use the Milesfast setting, it plays like butter. Any ideas as to why? thanks

This is a regular question here, believe me.

For CoD : UO you have to turn EAX off

Its not the best solution, but its the only solution. There is no fix, no pacth to correct this and there is no other solution.

I beg to differ with you my friend. It's the crappy Audigy drivers that are the problem. Creative Labs drivers stink up anyone's computer.

Here is the soulution you seek.

I tried to load CL drivers on my AMD 939 board and it mucke it up. This solved the problem. I just tested UO on EAX and it worked fine.

Q. Are the kX drivers aimed at musicians or gamers or both?

A. At present the kX driver is aimed primarily at musicians, and especially those who wish to get the most out of their soundcards (and who have traditionally been left behind by the big soundcard manufacturers, who prefer to concentrate their efforts on the more lucrative gamers market). Features designed specifically for gamers will however be added as development of the drivers continues.

I run them on my gaming machine and they work great.

Thx for the link. The kxmixer comes w/ a bit of a learning curve but I'm all about the SQ & massive tweaking options. Gaming perf isn't really affected either.

***EDIT***

I'm really loving these drivers. The music/movie sq is quite nice. :jammin:
