If this is true, http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=6260 then we are in for a good week next week. I know it's total speculation from a usually untrusted "theinquirer" but what the hell, they could be right. 48gb/sec transfer, that is damn crazy. 22000 3dmark points, oh man, i'm excited.

I think NV30 would have to act as a 2nd CPU too if it wanted to get 22000 3dmark points
Hopefully it will do well with AA. I've never been able to use that before

Sounds like 48 GB/s peak bandwidth and if that's true it'd be deceptive of them to use that number. I don't see how they could possibly squeeze that kind of bandwidth out of a 128 bit bus, even with 500 mhz DDR-II and compression. We'll see soon enough though.
If this news is true, the NV30 give a very big bash to R9700 :)
Just imagine the future "NV35" with 256 bits DDR-II if the NV30 with a 128 bits architecture give 48Go/s...
I will wait for Comdex....impatiently...hehe :)

if the 48GB/s figure is true, then it has to be the peak effective bandwidth, not actual bandwidth like some seem to think/hope it is.
The 9700's peak effective bandwidth is probably over 30GB/s
Plus, it remains to be seen how often the nv30 would be able to reach that peak or if it is very rare situations.

are people still hung up on this 48GB/s EBW? we've been over it in numerous threads before, and it's nothing but that, EBW.
at least it corresponds correctly to what the Inquirer is alledging will be NV30 performance(ie 30% higher at max settings) than R9700(which probably has 3xGB/s EBW)
