Weird glitch in water @ source engine with 6800 GT

I'm experiencing kinda weird things on my water.

Some kind of 'vertical lines' .. wich are irritating if you notice them..

I compared with some1 I know, who has a X800XT:

I'm sure you guys can see what I mean, just compare the latest two urls, and look at the part of the water that's hit by sunlight. It's some sort of banding.

I'm having this problem both with the 65.73 drivers and the 66.93 drivers.

Someone with a 6800/GT/ultra card can check for me if they also have this?

Err, the first water pic looks *nicer* than the second IMHO. What are you talking about? The 800XT water has sharper blick bits around the waters edge, the 6800's look smoother.

I second the frist pic looks better, I still don't see what you are talking about.

There are vertical lines in the water. You have to look closely to see them in those shots but i noticed them pretty easily.

They are probably easier to spot in motion. Almost looks like color banding, but that cant be right...

Yup I got your back man :) . Anyways I get the same thing on my BFG 6800 GT OC on 66.81 drivers, so you're not alone!

This should be a bit easier to see, just follow the yellow lines I drew..
