VST Bench @ 1600x1200 (4xAA/8xAF)

67.50 = 74.40FPS
67.02 = 64.50FPS

OUCH! Now thats a performance hit, I saw no bugs in the 67.50 so Im rolling back to the 67.50... performance lost is not worth it.

Half-Life 2 StressTest

1600x1200 2x/4x

66.93- 103.85
67.02- 103.68

Counter-Strike Source has no weird lines, and these are not WHQL's. I'm gonna keep them for now...

What does that new optino do btw? Does it increase fps or ?

how are the 67.50 drivers? are they as bug free as 66.93? are they faster? thanks :)

The negative LOD bias only caused stuttering on my system.

These are a few fps faster than the 67.50 in VST. I broke the 90fps mark @ 1280x960 w/ 4xAA and 16xAF. (previously 87ish)

If you set it to clamp, it prevents a negative LOD that causes "shimmering"

I see absolutely no reason why it would cause stuttering. All it does is prevent or allow negative LOD

Yeah, that has me puzzled. Maybe its all in my head. :wtf:

I set it to clamp and my FPS went up... now I hit 75FPS in the VST... /shrug

It would make sense if VST uses negative LOD. Negative LOD would decrease performance, and since Clamp prevents negative LOD your FPS go up ;)

lol. good reason. i think i'd rather use beta too :D
