Hello All,
been a while since I have been here but a search did not yield any results...
Is there a patch to get the Nalu demo working on older cards like there was for dusk and dawn?
I can get the ship demo "clear sailing" working but nalu just brings up a black screen with the option buttons at the top...
As mentioned I have a high end card but it is just not in the 6000 series...
Please help, would hate for the download to be a waste of time. (mag)

Have you tried NVemulate?
Available at nvidia developers page

no... any idea if it will work?
Also you wouldn't happen to have a direct link to it would you?

ok I found their site
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nvemulate.html
- the NVemulation is crap - I think they must deliberately do it in a bad way to slow the emulation to the point of it being useless so you have to upgrade the GFX card.
Surely there is a crack for nalu so that it ignores the check for a 6000 series card and or just does not try and use features that are not available on the 5900 ultra??
I mean if the Radeon cards can run a nvidia demo at decent speeds then surely a very high end Nvidia card can run it as well above 1 frame every 10 seconds!!!
The galleon demo (I believe it's called Clear Sailing) works also on NV3x cards using the "NV40 emulation" in Rivatuner but it's a slideshow...
Even Nalu starts but I can see only the sliders and while the cards appears to be rendering something (0.5-1 fps on my 5700U LOL!) the screen remains black

using the latest emulator you can get Nalu working but very very slowly...
The ship one works fine on my 5900 without the emulator - but Nalu only shows as you said - the sliders etc but no picture without the emulator.
But surely as I suggested there must be a "crack" to get the demo to run without going through the crappy emulator so that one can see it run at faster than 1 FP 10s. :lame:
