I have a Leadtek 6800 vanilla card. RiveTuner detected: "256bit NV40 (A1,12x,5vp) with 128MB DDR" - I assume that means that I have 5 vertex pipelines? Aren't 6800 vanilla cards supposed to have 6 vertex pipelines?

Here's an interesting article: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/display/20040829120525.html

5. They are supposed to have 5. This was resolved a LONG time ago, and in fact even in their earlier press releases nVIDIA said "5". If you want, though, you can enable the 6th in RT 15.2 and see if it isn't damaged.

Although NVIDIA publicly stated, some 6800NU even have 4 Vertex Processors.

I never recall seeing that. Do you have any links to that information? As far as I know the 'official' 6800 spec has always been 12x1 5vp, where 6800 LEs are 8x1 4vp.
