Although there are some who won't admit they look at the Inquirer, I have to say I'm not one of them. I saw those benchmarks. I'm sure the fanATIcs are probably toasting ATI with champagne. At least Nvidia still rules DOOM III. What do you expect when companies invest so much in a given game's development!

Very true.
But I do think nvidia can close that gap a LOT
with newer drivers.
Much like ati has in D3 with newer drivers.

I read the Inq every day. I get a kick
out of some stuff they post. :D

These benches (http://www.thetechlounge.com/article.php?directory=hl2_performance) look a little more realistic.

Really? In many cases, the 6600GT beats 6800GT/X800Pro by 10 fps... :lame:
Ah ok...The PCI-E system has a 3.4GHz Extreme Edition and the AGP system has a 2.4C :lame: :lame:

HardOcp has the most accurate benches I think...

Guys, these are ATI slides. The same ones that said they used "True trilinear filtering".

I don't see that it matters. I'm playing HL2 on a GT at 1600x1200 w/4xAA & 8xAF and it seems surprisingly fast. I haven't checked fps yet, but neither have I noticed any sluggishness, even standing in the main plaza in City 17.
