I want to make my BFG 6800 GT to have the normal 6800 GT clock. Some people say that if you have anything overclocked (which the BFG 6800 GT comes at default) that Half-Life 2 would have a problem. So how do I change the clocks on my 6800 GT?

Thank you.

Your card is rated at 370mhz. If you cannot do those speeds return it, otherwise enjoy Half-Life 2.

Then I would have to conclude that those people are idiots. My CPU and video card are both overclocked and I have no issues in any game at all.

Why the :) would you want to change something that BFG gurantees??

It has a Lifetime warranty. If you are worried about anything, Dont :) with it.

Circumvent the swear filter again and you'll be outta here. This is your only warning.

I don't know who you heard this from but whoever it was doesn't know what they're talking about. Both my CPU and Video Card are overclocked and I'm having zero problems. Besides, your card is warrentied at those clocks, why would you underclock it?

For my first post at these forums [ (newb) ], I'd have to agree with everyone else here. Not only is your card rated and warrentied at the settings you recieved it at, you were also misinformed about overclocking causing issues in HL2. Perhaps if you overclocked to such high settings that the card couldn't handle any more load than the [insert operating system of choice here] GUI, but reasonable overclocking will not cause stability issues. I run Half Life 2 with my Chaintech 6800 GT @ 400/1100 [Ultra settings] with absolutly no problems at all.

My system is OCed like a MOFO and I've had 0 problems with HL2.
Your BFG is suppose to run at 370 core. If it does not make BFG give u a new one. :)
