Hello

i have a Leadtek 6800GT and i want to play on my
toshiba 29SZ8 TV.

the only problem is that the input of my TV is Y,Pi,pB (HDTV component)
and i dont find a cable.

when Nvidia release the 6600GT i see the cable in the bundle
of the card.

so i mail to Leadtek about how can i buy that cable and i was
surprised.

the answer:

"Thank you for your inquiry

Because the A400 series video card s do not support the HDTV output function. So we will not add a HDTV cable in their retail packages."

The 6800GT does not support HDTV output?

abnyone please?

Only a few 6600 cards support HDTV via component.

The rest of the 6x00 family only suuport HDTV via DVI.

I don't think there is a DVI to component adapter.

I've been researching building a Media Center PC, and ran across this article. (http://www.htpcnews.com/main.php?id=transcoder_1) I'm not quite sure that it's everything that you're looking for, but it's a step towards it.

My real question is; When will nVidia put together a really good card for a MCE PC? I mean ATI has a component adapter, (however basic it is), and seems to be agressive for the MCE PC market. But I really want an option for a kick-ass card that's made by nVidia.

You can buy external boxes that convert DVI and HDMI to almost anything and even split it so you can use multiple digital sources in one input on the TV. They arent cheap though.
