View Full Version : Change Core Slowdown Threshold?

It appears I have a dead temp sensor on my XFX 6800 card. Most 3rd party hw monitors read this as ZERO degrees, but the Nvidia drivers see it as the MAX value of 153c. Since the core slowdown threshold is set to 127c, the gpu is throttled down resulting in about half of the normal 3d performance.

Is there any way to hack the core slowdown threshold value and force it to be 154c? Would like to avoid having to RMA this card.

Thanks,
M

Oi, I would RMA it anyways if it's got a broken temp sensor... that's a baaaaaaad thing to have broken.
