HSP56 Mircomodem and HD probs

Does anbody know an way to let my use this modem with Linux mandrake 8.0 ?

And my HD will freeze if ill lokk around on my win_c and win_d...


Im out of ideas about it...

Just now take a look at the linux hardware list at "cbc.suse.de"
Some modems are not supported by linux, especially several internal PCI
modems.
For instance my elsa MicroLink 56k PCI HCF it's a win-only modem for
technical data sheets are not published.

I have that same modem and Im able to use it. Im using SuSe 8.1 and that link contains everything I used. I used the .9.6 driver and compiled that. Follow the Install, Readme, and FAQ and you should be up and running.
