Ok so basically I want to backup my Metal Gear Solid Substance DVD for pc. I have made an iso image of the dvd and its (7.83gb). My question is how can I burn this image to two dvd+r's???? Is there any way to split the image using a program and if so what program? I have read about 11 guides that say how to copy a DVD-9 disc to two DVD+/- R but they all refer to DVD movies whereas in my case its not a movie but a ISO data image.I have also downloaded about 5 different programs that claim can split a DVD-9 disc into two DVD+/- R discs but the programs also assume that the DVD-9 disc/image is a movie and always searches for VIDEO_TS everytime I try to load my iso as the source file and gives me an error saying "VIDEO_TS is not found" or an an error saying "DVD is not recognized". Any Tips/advice on how I can accomplish my goal? Thanks in advance.

And then of course he'll need to have a dual layer burner.

I was going to say DVDShrink until I read your message saying that you wanted to back up a game...

This game has copy protection. There are ways to back up the game but they might be illegal and it's probably against forum rules talking about them.

If a DVD had no copy protection (and it was legal for you to back it up) you can split the DVD image into two using some compression software (eg WinRAR) or some a file splitter (eg JHSplit) and then rejoin the image back onto your harddrive in the future (eg when you get a dual layer DVD burner or alternatively you can use disc image mounting software). You could also try splitting all the files between the two DVDs, assuming they were of appropriate size.
