Hehe moust funny thing is , Nvidias cover up of 5800 existence :lol2: , meh its highly unlikely that Nvidia will do anything for FX line.... they focus all effort to 6800 and future line.

I'm happy with my 5900xt... really, for a 220 US$ card a year ago... 7000 onions03 is close to a 6600GT.

I gotta admit, for raw performance the FX5900XT is a great card, but when you start using AA/AF or shaders it kinda sucks and I'm a little disappointed. I've only had the card since Spring 2004, but I wouldn't mind some kind of trade up program to a 6800 or 6600GT

There's no point to AF when you're using: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=40072
and a -1.0 LOD bias

As for AA, anything runs a 1024x768 with 4x AA... xcept maybe Far Cry. Which I have to say my card sucks there.

OT: Gator, what server do you play UT2k4 on? I'm mostly on http://ut2004stats.epicgames.com/serverstats.php?server=9387876

As a multi OS user, I find myself in a position a bit different from most of you. I have to thank nVidia for the great engineering effort of their driver team, that brings quality and good performer drivers for windows and the others ;)

BTW I dont have any DX9 game, and my FX card is a low end one, but as I respect the cause, here's another *bump* for this thread :)

Cover up?

http://www.nvidia.com/page/fx_5800.html

Its simply not in their product page as they are not the top cards of the series. Both the 5600 and the 5800 have been replaced by the 5700 and the 5900 respectively.
