Hello all
I recently took delivery of a BFG 6800GT OC, and whilst i am happy with the gaming performance increase from my old ti4200, i am getting only mediocre results in 3DM03 & 3DM05...
With my P4 2.53 OC to 2.8, 6800GT set to 410/1100 & using 66.93 driver i only get 4602 in 3DM05..... :lame:
My 3DM03 score is a little better at 11607
I was expecting to get 5000+..... (newb)
Do you think it is due to my old(ish) motherboard only supporting 4x AGP max ?
thnx in advance for any thoughts.....

AGP speed comes in effect only when using more memory than what is found on the card. An example is Doom 3 in Ultra quality. Other than that, performance wise the difference is 1% at best. Both your 3DMark score look fine to me. I score around 11900 in 03 with an 2.2ghz A64.

Been doing some testing.... don't think it is the AGP speed, but my sad old processor ( p4 2.53 Northwood ).
I DOOM3 i get 46fps at 1024x768 2xAA 8xAF High Quality in timedemo. Ay 800x600 with same settings i get 47fps.... :bash: :lame:
Overclocking CPU to 2.8G i get a 5fps uplift... nothing dramatic. :retard:
Ohh Well... roll on 6 months... should then have enough monies to upgrade MB/CPU/PSU.... Anybody recommend a good case ? (newb)

Your benchmarks are fine, my 3DMark05 score was like 3000 or something with the system in my sig. 3DMark scores do no reflect system performance, only video card performance. They are also completely useless as a benchmarking tool and I would recommend not using them, ever.

Hmm...in that case I would expect a little better results than that. I got 3950 something (3dmark05) with my 6600GT. Then again mine is PCI-e.
