Sure looks like it to me; a floppy connector, not 4-pin molex. Are you surprised to see any power connector at all? (AGP doesn't have the power spec that PCI-express does.)

It looks like there's an electrolytic capacitor in the way, how could you even use that connector? You're talking about the one in the upper right-hand side of the board right?

yeah, i just found it odd is all. Could be a great overclocker perhaps if one was to rig it up? interesting anyhow.

Interestingly, that board appears to differ from the reference design in more than just the power connector. Haven't seen much of that lately.

I know that there are a few older engineering samples of the 6600GT floating around that have the PCI-Express 6-pin power connector that other PCIe cards have, which doesn't look anything like this MSI card.
