Why, oh why, MUST I RESTART my whole entire computer in XP for:
Scanner Installation (USB Scanner at that)
Printer Installation (USB here too, with Lexmark, Epson, and every HP printer I've tried)
graphics driver changes - this was suppose to be fixed with Windows 2000, why does MS have to embed the GUI with the kernel!??!?!?
Changing my paging file location
changing domain/network ID status
It's retarded, we're to a very capable point with our hardware, and hardware-wise alot of this is DESIGNED not to require a restart.
I know why, poor design. Ok, that answers my question I guess. Poor design especially on the part of MS. Oh but there's plenty of bile to go around, the printer companies, certain graphics companies, etc.
