My sh*tty CRT is so DARK! The hardware brightness and contrast are maxed and it's still like playing Doom 3 constantly. I can't get anywhere with the nVIDIA drivers because if I up them all, it gets whitewashed, so then I have to knock Contrast down a few notches and gamma, so I can pump up brightness...and I end up in the exact same place I was before. I can't stand it, especially now that I have my pretty, new BRIGHT LCD.

Does anyone know of anything out there that I could use to make the monitor brighter but not whitewash everything, something that offers more control than the nVIDIA drivers?

Holy crap...it's $70? There isn't even a demo for me to try it out.

I tried out powerstrip and it did basically the same thing the the nVIDIA drivers do, which is nothing.

Thanks anyway though. :-\

I really wish I had more money so I could get another LCD. :(

They're actually charging for DisplayMate now? I didn't even see that. It was free when I got my LCD from monitorsdirect.com last year. :(

Charging is putting it lightly...raping seems more fit. $70 for a 300kb download! For Christ's sake! It damn well BETTER make my monitor as good, if not better, than the LCD.

Screw them, there is no way I'm paying $70 for something I can't even try first.

I'm sure there are *ahem* other ways to try out that software. :eek2:
