think it'd fit the V9999GE? supposedly its close to the reference cooler, but check this (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1649). its pretty freaked out, not sure i'll bother although it would be nice to get the noise down a little and the ambients could be a bit lower too (using smartcooling i get ~53/49 idle, 68/5x full load).

hopefully this thread isn't too trite, but if nothing else NV5 owners get to revel in their purchase ;)

It'll fit just fine, like a glove

good to hear...although like a glove might be pushing it without some heavy duty lapping :(

its this or watercooling, and finding a watercooling block to fit a 6800 is a bitch i hear...

lol. I guess like a glove is inacurate.

I'd be hard pressed to replace that cooler with an NV5. It looks very efficient.

All 6800 reference HSFs are good, but they dump lots of heat inside the case and tend to be loud. NV5 is good for reducing temp inside ur case and noise. But MUD is correct, the manufacturing quality of NV5 plain sux. I exchanged one unit only to have problems making contact with the core all over again. If possible, just don't buy that POS.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the power outtake on one of the Asus-models does not fit the power lead for the fan. I can't remember which card though.
