Guys, I need some of your input on how to possibly solve the "particles" problem with a Geforce 6800 GT. This is my 3rd RMA card and im not going for a 4th...its either solve this myself with help or bye bye Nvidia.

The card shows corrupted screen from boot up. Im able to reach windows. but as soon as I try to installl any drivers I get a big nice BSOD followed by reset...

Any ideas for me to start trying, pls post em, ill appreciate em!
Thanks in advance

can you boot into safe mode "F8" and install the drivers there???

If so does it re-boot without issues or do you get the same thing @ re-boot.

thanks.

what make is your 6800GT?? - does the manufacturer have a bios update available??

Is a Leadtek A400 GT...Screen is so corrupted at bios that I can't see anything under bios options. It then reaches windows and desktop has particles all over.

If I dare install drivers, I get BSOD and my PC restarts...I can stay on windows for a long time (add crappy refreshs + particles + low res) and PC stays put.

Anymore ideas?

Weird thing is I can run my board with other cards. And I have tested the 6800 GT on other systems (totally different specs) and the card gives the same issues on said systems :(

Maybe im jinxed! *sigh*
